I like to stock up on my favourite fall essential oils before the season is in full swing so that I am ready when the leaves start to change and the air turns crisp. Here are my must-have oils for fall:
I used to love burning fall-scented candles. But when I learned how toxic most candles are and how many chemicals they release into the air, I decided to “ditch and switch”! I ditched candles and switched to diffusing essential oils. You get all the yummy smells, plus the added aromatherapy benefits without the toxic chemicals or the fire hazard! I make sure my diffuser is set to “flickering candlelight” mode to retain the cozy ambiance! Try these delicious and warming blends in your diffuser this fall!
For something a little different try using pinecones as diffusers! Make these fall scented pinecones to use centerpieces or to put in decorative bowls around the house!
This year will be a little different. Whether you are returning to the classroom, homeschooling, or trying something in between, here are some ways to use essential oils to help cope with this year’s back-to-school routines.
When it’s not wine o’clock yet…
When that energy low hits…
When Mama needs a break…
Here are some of the ways you can support your littles with essential oils this school year:
KidScents GeneYus – Diffuse this blend made especially for kids to help them focus.
KidScents T-Gize – Apply directly on sore tummies for relief. Great for back-to-school butterflies!
Try diffusing some sleepy time blends to help your little ones get a better night’s sleep. This Feather The Owl Diffuser is the cutest and doubles as a nightlight. Diffuse a few drops of KidScents DreamEase!
You can buy the Feather The Owl Diffuser and a selection of KidScents oils in the new Little Oilers Starter Kit from Young Living! (To purchase through me simply enter 19017226 in both the Sponsor and Enroller fields on the website.)
Support your minis health with a wellness roller containing anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting oils. You can roll this along the spine or apply to the bottoms of the feet before bed!
We also use this blend if the girls are feeling under the weather or feel the sniffles coming on!
Our girls also have their own little bottles of Thieves Hand Sanitizer in their backpacks. Most sanitizer gels are made with petroleum, but this all natural version is made with peppermint and doesn’t dry out their delicate skin.
Teachers are under a lot of extra pressure this year. Consider taking a gift now instead of waiting for the end of the year! Here are some ideas of gifts for teachers or supplies to offer for the classroom:
Make this blend in a 10ml roller bottle topped with fractionated coconut oil. Can be rolled on topically daily to support immunity and wellness.

+Turn over your garden bed soil and add oils to keep the pests away and cover perennials with mulch sprayed with oils as well.
Here are some oils that you can use to fight unwelcome garden guests and attract beneficial visitors:
To Make Garden Spray:
+Add 10 drops of essential oil to a gallon of water with a couple of drops of castile soap. If a spray bottle is preferred, you can also add 2-3 drops of EO for every cup of water used, plus a drop of castile soap.
You can spray or soak every couple of weeks to keep the garden healthy.
To Make Garden Booster:
+Mix essential oils into Epsom salts and add a layer around your garden. Not only will this help to keep pests away, but it will give your soil and plants a Magnesium boost!
