I'm Amanda and I’m passionate about creating a well loved and well lived in home for my family and I Iove to help others do the same!
It’s Canadian Thanksgiving this week so I’ve teamed up with some amazing bloggers to bring you some fall floral centerpiece ideas! I created this thrift store Thanksgiving tablescape to see if I could make something pretty for just a few dollars and it ended up being one of my favourites. In order to stick to my “almost free” budget, I made a mini fall floral centerpiece from leftover clippings and flowers I already had in the house!

Because we just have an eat-in dining nook in our kitchen, a mini floral fall centerpiece is perfect for our Thanksgiving dinners when there are just the 4 of us at our small table! I always like to decorate for the holidays, even if we aren’t hosting a big gathering. It makes it special and there’s nothing the girls love more than a candlelit dinner!
I already had a few fresh flowers in the house, but you could easily get white roses or carnations from the grocery store and forage for the rest! There are so many pretty grasses, greens, and branches to collect at this time of year. I always have a pair of shears in my glovebox in case I spy something pretty that I must have lol!
I paired simple white mini roses with a sprig of tiny white flowers. (I’m not sure what these are, but you could easily find some wild/weed flowers that look similar). Then I added eucalyptus clippings and small sprigs of pampas grass… all in little white hobnail vase.
To set the table I found gorgeous gold filigree glasses, brass candlestick holders, and a set of antique salt and pepper shakers for a few dollars at Goodwill! Then I dug out plates from our wedding china collection, woven placemats from the back of the linen cupboard, and our everyday silverware with a plain white tablecloth!
Because the setting and the centerpiece were very simple I added some extra greenery on the table and on the chandelier. I had some faux eucalyptus garland (that I usually use for Christmas) that I brought out early. I added the rest of the fresh greens to the chandelier.
I also tied clippings of eucalyptus and feathery grasses up with a gorgeous wooden bell and printed ribbon. Then I placed these little bundles at each place setting to tie in with the mini centerpiece.
I loved this little mini fall floral centerpiece so much. I decided to make a few more mini arrangements to place around the house!
I hope this post inspires you to create your own mini fall floral centerpiece or arrangements! You only need a few flowers and some foraged clippings to set a beautiful table. You can decorate your home for fall AND stay on budget!
