I love Easter! The pastel colours, the cute bunnies, and of course the warmer temperatures after our long winters! I like to decorate my home for Spring and layer in the following 5 traditional Easter decor ideas in a fun but subtle way.

It’s Easter so of course, there must be eggs! I found beautiful faux speckled eggs that came in a variety of colours. I chose the neutral eggs to use on the mantle and in the bookshelves. I love how they add a little spring touch without being loud or too thematic.
If you can’t find any faux eggs you can always make your own using this faux speckled egg tutorial.
Then I used the brightly coloured eggs on a fun bunny-themed kids Easter tablescape I set up for the girls. The orangey-pink colours are so fun!
I also like to use real eggs and eggshells as easy and inexpensive Easter décor items. You can make cute little planters, eggcup tealights, or just display the eggshells on their own!
I love adding little bunny touches around the house! This year I added bunny Easter egg hunt signs, bunny-shaped paper lanterns, and scroll down to see the two real bunnies I found stealing chocolate eggs!
I found these cute paper bunny lanterns at the dollar store!
These two little bunnies solemnly swear they are up to no good!
I love large oversize blooming stems for Spring. My favorite stems are cherry blossom and magnolia. I have faux stems since the real thing isn’t blooming here, but I cut pussy willows from the end of the driveway to add something fresh!
One really simple Easter decor idea is this “Easter tree” made using cherry blossom stems and speckled eggs hung on ribbons!
I always look for pretty paper decor items each season. They are an easy and inexpensive way to decorate! I found this fun “Hoppy Easter” garland that I reuse each year.
I also set a bunny themed Easter table for the girls with sweet little paper plates and bunny treat bags and napkins!
Now I know where the mini eggs went!
I like to incorporate fresh greens in our decor year-round, but especially in the Spring! I added the mini Easter egg hunt signs around the house in all our various potted plants.
The girls have already been practicing their egg hunting skills. These ones are already gone!
And I hung a beautiful fresh green garland in the mudroom to make it feel like a potting shed until I can get outside and work in the real thing. Greenery is a simple, but sometimes overlooked Easter decor idea!
I love that Easter decor can be so simple! And I hope you found some useful ideas for your own home this Easter season! For more inspiration check out An Effortless Easter Tablescape. And of course, remember to hop over to the Spring home tours from my fellow Canadian bloggers below!

It’s amazing what a difference some flowers can do to your place, but also your mood.
-but I always get so sad when they wither- so I’m thinking I should find some very realistic faux flowers..
So true! Fresh flowers make everything better! But I use faux all the time, either mixed in or on their own. They cost a little more, but end up being much more cost effective since you can use them over and over!
