I'm Amanda and I’m passionate about creating a well loved and well lived in home for my family and I Iove to help others do the same!
My youngest daughter has an October birthday and it’s always fun to tie a Halloween theme into the fun! This year summer was short and wet here in Edmonton…so I felt like lightening things up in our screen room with a bright and happy Halloween party set up!

We usually put the patio furniture in storage at the end of the season. This year, however, we kept the umbrella out and put it up inside to make a fun & quirky setup.
The windows in the screen room close up to seal the room. There’s also a gas fire in the corner to turn on if it gets chilly. So the party setup is usable well into late fall.
Fun black and white paper plates with some black candle holders contrast nicely with bright orange candles and sweet mini pumpkins nestled in glass votives.
Disco balls, lights and a cute little candy banner made the space feel a little festive and fun. Using traditional elements like the black twig Halloween wreath hung on the pillar and less traditional elements like disco balls and summer umbrellas keep everything feeling fresh and fun!
A simple bar cart holds party accessories like paper straws and glasses. It’s also a good spot to drop gifts. I left these white paper gift bags plain so the girls could decorate them with spooky motifs later! And I think disco balls and pumpkins might be a new favourite combo!
The best part about this setup was how easy it was to transition from summer to fall. I simply replaced the ferns that were sitting on these rattan plant stands with pumpkins. I left faux ferns out to keep some greenery in the room.
It’s too cold already, even in the screened-in room for real plants. These faux beauties will last all the way until it’s time to start thinking about Christmas!
I’m always looking for ways to use what I have and just switch a few items each season. I love how this transitional summery Halloween party setup turned out!
I hope you found something to inspire in this bright & happy Halloween party setup! For more Halloween decor ideas check out..
