I'm Amanda and I’m passionate about creating a well loved and well lived in home for my family and I I'd love to help you do the same!
The older I get the more I crave simplicity. This Thanksgiving I set a minimal Scandinavian style table and I think it might be my favourite yet. I created classic printable Thanksgiving place cards that you could also use as seasonal gift tags once the holiday has passed! (You can download them further down in this post!)
I literally set this table in 5 minutes using things I already owned & gathered from around the house. I used a roll of brown kraft paper taped to the table instead of a tablecloth. The girls can draw on it, it doesn’t matter if spills happen and it can be recycled easily after the holidays.
I grabbed a vase of dried, bleached bunny tails that I had sitting in the kitchen inside to use as a centerpiece. And I added matte black candles in simple black candle holders for a monochrome look. A string of twinkle lights and battery-operated tea lights add some extra glow.
I had some whole cloves left over from making potpourri jars so I sprinkled them along the table. The add a rustic feel, but also smell delicious!
I made 3 different place cards/gift tags to print: “Happy Thanksgiving”, “Thankful for you!” and “Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice”! You can use them as place setting cards on your holiday table or use them as gift tags!
The “Happy Thanksgiving” tags are perfect place cards when tied with some silk ribbon around cutlery at each table setting. I just used a hole punch to create a hole for the ribbon to pass through.
The “Thankful for you!” tags are perfect to add to homemade gifts like this jar of stovetop potpourri or some holiday baking! Just fold the tag at an angle and attach it to a mason jar using plain string. Wax paper on the top instead of the lid looks pretty and keeps the potpourri fresh. You could use the same trick for baking in a dish or gift box!
The “Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice” tags look adorable added to a place setting, but how cute would they be added to a fresh-baked pumpkin pie?!
I printed these tags on regular printer paper at home because, as I said, I had 5 minutes lol! I also wanted to make sure they worked well on regular paper since that’s the easiest option for most people to print on!
They would be a little sturdier printed on 65lb cardstock from somewhere like Staples or whichever printing service you prefer!
You can print the tags on a standard 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and then cut them out.
